Mullet’s Aluminum Receives Architizer A+Product Awards Special Mention
Mullet’s Aluminum Products Inc. received Architizer A+Product Awards Special Mention in the Landscape Design category for its work on the “Majestic Rising” project in Southwest Florida. The Architizer A+Product Awards are regarded as the world’s largest award program for architecture.

Mullet’s Aluminum’s Special Mention was due to its prestigious work on the “Majestic Rising” project in Southwest Florida. This custom aluminum pergola was handcrafted in Mullet’s Aluminum’s manufacturing plant and delivered and installed by the team.
The structure has quickly become an iconic landscaping feature for the residential high-rise, Seaglass, located in Bonita Springs, Florida.
“Majestic Rising” reflects the vision behind this extraordinary architectural aluminum trellis feature designed to provide visual interest and complement the aesthetics of the building structure it sits adjacent to. This feature evokes a vision of people holding hands and standing in a circle with arms raised towards the heavens. It is both primitive – reflecting ancient rituals of indigenous people as they gathered to welcome a mystical presence from above or give thanks for a bountiful harvest – and modern with welded aluminum trusses that reflect our current civilization and people gathering to worship or celebrate a special event.
The welded aluminum structure demonstrates the strength of the gathered people, and the upward trajectory points towards an endless sky. The circular design shows continuity and community, while the color reflects the purity of those gathered.
Manufactured by Mullet’s Aluminum Products, Inc. in Sarasota, this circular trellis was handcrafted using 4″ x 6″ and 4″ x 8″ rectangular aluminum extrusion and 4″ x 4″ square extrusion. The overall diameter of the trellis measures 19′ 2 3/4,” and it sets atop four 9′ tall reinforced concrete columns.
The Architizer winners were chosen by a 200+ member jury comprised of industry leaders from around the world. Architizer’s core mission is to empower architects by connecting designers with building-product manufacturers via inspiring content, awards programs, competitions, and global reach spotlighting the world’s best architecture. The A+Product Awards were created to honor the globe’s most inspiring contemporary buildings, designs, and architecture.
