For an unprecedented 9th year in a row, Mullet’s Aluminum Products, Inc. received the prestigious Aluminum Association of Florida’s 2016 Award of Excellence at the association’s annual board meeting which was held a Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, FL on November 8th.
Mullet’s Aluminum received awards in three (3) different categories – RAILINGS; CARPORTS, CANOPIES and WALKWAY COVERS; and MISCELLANEOUS METALS categories.
The Railings Category awarad was for fabrication and installation of aluminum & glass railing systems which were installed at Aria on Longboat Key Condominium. The developer was Ascentia Group; the general contractor was Suffolk Construction; and the architect was Santiesteban & Associates Architects.
The Carports, Canopies and Walkway Cover category award was for fabrication and installation of an acrylic and aluminum entry canopy at Treasure Island Resort on Clearwater Beach, FL. The developer / owner is Ocean Properties; the general contractor was MOSS Construction; and the architect was Curtis Hall Gaines Jones Architects. In addition to the entry canopy, Mullet’s Aluminum fabricated and installed aluminum & glass balcony railings, trellis systems and stainless steel and glass entry railing at this property.
And the Miscellaneous Metals category award was for fabrication and installation of sunshade canopies at the Tom & Debbie Shapiro Boy’s and Girls Club Career Resource Center in Sarasota, FL. The general contractor was HalfAcre Construction and involved numerous volunteers and trade members from the Gulf Coast Builders Xchange.
The Award of Excellence represents the highest standards in overall project quality and craftsmanship within the aluminum and glass industry within the State of Florida.
